who designs your stationery?

Our stationery products are designed and created by Arlene John-Chuan, owner of Emmy Lu Design Studio.

who photographs your stationery?

All of our photographs are styled and taken by Arlene John-Chuan. Although she is not a photographer, Arlene enjoys this final creative process of bringing her designs to life.

what are the advantages of printing my own stationery?

The biggest advantage to this method is that you are able to save money on papergoods that are charming and designer-quality. There is no shipping involved and there are no "minimum order" requirements--go ahead and print the files as many times as you want!

what format are the printable files?

Upon purchasing your printable files, you will receive a multi-page PDF. PDFs can easily be read by any computer, whether PC or Mac. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or newer, which is a free download available here if you do not already have it. By using PDFs, we ensure that the integrity of the typefaces and illustration elements are perfectly preserved in the best quality for you to print at home. All you do is open the file, and select "Print".

can anyone do this "print at home" thing?

Yes! Anyone, craft-savvy or not, will be able to do this! We provide easy-to-follow instructions with your printable files that will guide you through the entire process of printing and completing your project. Feel free to send us an email if you have any questions!

what kind of paper and materials do I need?

Included in every PDF file is a complete material list. All of our stationery designs are sized to fit on a standard 8.5x11" piece of paper, so you will be able to purchase your paper stock at any office, craft or paper supply store.

how should I cut my stationery?

All stationery files include cut marks and guides, so it's easy to be precise. We recommend using a blade and ruler, or a sliding paper cutter for best results. You can also use a pair of sharp scissors.

what if my printer isn't up to par?

If you feel that your home printer isn't up to the task of printing stationery, consider taking your files to a local print shop. Almost any "copy shop" (such as Kinkos, UPS Store, etc.) has a high quality digital printer on site that will produce a beautiful final product for a fairly affordable price.

how is payment processed for my order?

All payment is processed through PayPal, a trusted, safe and secure method of payment processing. You will be taken to a payment page after submitting your order. We do accept international payments through PayPal, but will not process your order until the payment has been verified. PayPal accepts any major credit card.
